ESL Vocabulary
any people want to learn English as a second language (ESL). English is the most widely spoken language in the world today. Knowing how to speak English or ESL will open many opportunities to students, ordinary employees, business owners, entrepreneurs and other professions. Those who want to be ESL speakers may study at formal schools that teach ESL. Part of the curriculum of schools is ESL vocabulary. ESL vocabulary as taught in schools may include a formal set of standard ESL vocabulary. Aside from language schools, there are also other institutions that teach ESL. These include online ESL tutorials, some for free and some for a fee. ESL vocabulary taught in informal ESL schools is more for practical and functional ESL speaking.

Formal ESL language schools typically teach grammar and parts of speech, syntax, spelling and vocabulary. Formal ESL schools have a stricter curriculum than ESL tutorial centers. Informal ESL tutorial centers teach basic vocabulary essential for practical ESL use.

Depending on the purpose of the person who wants to learn ESL, he or she may enroll in formal or informal ESL schools. A standard ESL vocabulary should be studied by people who need it for more academic or formal purposes. These purposes may include academic and business writing. Standard written ESL is different from conversational ESL.
